Evidence for atheism

When theists are asked to give evidence for their view, they point to hundreds of books featuring philosophical and metaphysical arguments, reports of miracles, and more.

When atheists are asked to give evidence for their view, they point to dozens of books explaining why they think it's completely unfair to ask them to give evidence for their view.

More hilarious to me is how they play the "Heads I win, Tails you lose" game. My favorite example:

If there are alien intelligences "out there", then that's proof we are nothing special, and God couldn't possibly be interested in us. Therefore, if not "no God" then at least "no Christ".

If we are the only intelligent species in the universe, then the vast, lifeless cosmos is proof that it was not created by God (because He would have filled it with life).

I remember Monod played the 'We're utterly alone therefore God doesn't exist' game.

But atheism isn't a view, it's an absence of a view. Duh?!
